By the way… being a Disney fan is much more legit than a Hansen fan LOL. I love meeting new people that are my online friends, but ultimately it comes down to needing some people nearby too because it’s hard to call your friend up in Salt Lake City and see if they want to go out for coffee LOL

My cousins name is Naomi and even family can’t get it right. Can you imagine the trouble I had with the spelling of my name? Even my care card has it with an e at the end and I have asked them to change it a number of times. Only other person I have seen that has my name spelled the same way is Lady Gaga… her given name is Stefani… thought that was kinda cute.

As for your issues in the beginning of the blog… good luck with getting married HA HA HA HA (just kiddding)

What a wonderful timely reminder that it is not all about me. I wish more people in the church would read this, by church I mean the church at large. When you read all the garbage that gets posted about the Mosque at ground zero, and put it in light of this, what should our actions be towards the Muslim. In a selfish world where it is all about me, my rights, (which is why I did not take out citizenship in the USA) as a Christian we have not rights, our lives are not our own and our allegiance is too the Lord, not a flag it was so refreshing to read this.

Hah! It’s funny, because Taylor and I actually pronounce it differently. I say NAY-omi, he says NY-omi. I always heard most people calling you NAY-omi (and to be perfectly honest I like that pronunciation better, but I always have weird things about various names), so I assumed that was the “correct” pronunciation.

I usually don’t have much of problem with people pronouncing my name wrong, but I have gotten MEE-gan on occasion. They’re far more likely to spell my name wrong – any of them! I used to get really mad but I’m more or less resigned to it now, though I am baffled at the fact that I have the most common spelling of my first name and it still gets spelled wrong….

I got an Email chain that the subject line was: “FW: Scarey! This is NYC on Madison Ave” and it dipicted muslims stopping traffic in the streets of NY to pray.

It’s ‘Scarey’ (Yeah, did you notice how they spelled it wrong?) how uninformed Rednecks are:

Might I add that ‘Allah’ literally translates into ‘God’ and some Christian and Muslim scholars believe this to be the very SAME God. Also, people bitch about the high-rise mosque, but if built, we won’t have so many people having to spill out into the street… might they fit in a high-rise?

Some ask: Who’s funding this project? Why do they want to keep it hush hush?

I would imagine it’s probably like any other organization that takes charity, collection, or private funding, those donors are anonymous by right and by law. It could be from their collection plates for all we know, but it’s not our right to know. I bet if you asked a catholic church for the same information, you’d get the same shove-off type answer, so it’s a political move… Muslims have the same rights in the US as ANY other citizen. I dislike this extreme racism through legal backing we’re beginning to do in this country. It’s just like the law in AZ that they passed that if you ‘Look Mexican’ they can stop you and make you prove citizenship, if you cannot, you get deported to Mexico. That means, if my you’re looking tan from a trip to Hawaii, and are now in AZ for some reason, and you lose your wallet or it gets stolen, and some redneck cop thinks, “She don’t look like us…” you’re getting a free ride to Mexico. Totally F-ed Up.

PS it’s: Prince Alwaleed bin Talal that is funding the mosque project. It’s funny because the same guy gave 3.2 Million to the Yellow Ribbon Fund (A fund for wounded US veterans) last year.
